Just wanted to give a quick update on the V3 playfield. I have finally finished the insert layout. I decided to remove the obtuse arrows on the left side and sub in some nice early Bally style arrows. I have also begin the process of testing out my insert hole machining. The first test was actually pretty good. Check out the results below.
Hey Scott, realize this is an old post, but I’m curious how you sat the top of the inserts flush with the playfield. Did you cnc the holes so the inserts sat just slightly higher than the wood and sanded flush, or milled your holes exactly the depth of the insert itself? Amazing work, thanks!
Hey there! Yes, I CNCd the insert holes just slightly too shallow and that allowed me to sand the top of all the inserts flush with the playfield. It worked really well.

I used Home Depot birch plywood. 1/2 inch.
